…… the Lord Jesus Himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'
God is Blessed When We Obey Him By Giving
8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse-- the whole nation of you-- because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD
2 Corinthians 9:7b
….. God loves a cheerful giver.
"Cheerful" in Greek = Hilaros, from which we get the English word Hilarious. God was hilarious giving.
Others are Blessed When We Give
2 Corinthians 9:12-13
12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.
34 There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.
Do your givin' while you're livin,'
then you're knowin' where it's goin'
We are Blessed When we Give (You Can't Out Give God)
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

We are Blessed for Eternity When We Give
19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.
I judge all things only by the price they shall gain in eternity. - John Wesley
Dr. Bill Bright (Campus Crusade for Christ and "four spiritual laws" tract) often challenged people to give a million dollars to the Lord's work in their lifetimes. Many did. Example: a couple with small business earning $50,000 per year, giving $15,000 per year. Bill Bright challenged them to pray for and trust God for enough to give $50,000 away the next year. Sure enough, God blessed their business, and they had enough to live on $50,000 and give $50,000 away. The second year, they prayed for and trusted God for $50,000 to live on, and $100,000 to give away. God delivered. Within five years, they had given $1,000,000 to the Lord's work, and still had more than enough to live on.
No One is Blessed When We Do Not Give
24 One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.
I have watched over 100,000 families over my years of investment counseling. I always saw greater prosperity and happiness among those families who tithed than among those who didn't. - John Templeton.
