Where Are the Other Nine?

Luke 17:12-19
12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!" 14 When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed. 15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him-- and he was a Samaritan. 17 Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" 19 Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."

More people pray to the Lord than give praise to the Lord

Lots of people pray to the Lord, seeking His help. But far fewer praise the Lord for all His blessings.  Here, ten men cried out to Jesus for healing, but only one came back to praise God.
12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!"

More people have faith in the Lord than give praise to the Lord

There are plenty of people who believe in the Lord. They trust Him to bless. Far fewer praise the Lord for those blessings. Here, ten men trusted and obeyed Jesus, but only one came back to praise Him.
14 When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed.

More people receive blessings from the Lord than give back praise to the Lord

How many blessings Christians receive from the Lord, but how few take the time to praise Him who is worthy of all praise.  Here, ten men were healed of leprosy, but only one man came back and gave praise the Jesus.
15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him -- and he was a Samaritan. 17 Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" 19 Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."

Praise the Lord!
Psalm 100:1-5
1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
