"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul."
John and I had checked in at Heathrow Airport, and we were ready for the flight back home from a vacation in England. When we looked at the monitor to see what gate our flight was leaving from, we were dismayed. All it said was "To be determined." We had over two hours until the plane took off, but no idea where to wait! Heathrow was a big airport and completely unfamiliar to us. We walked around for a few minutes, and then decided to sit down. We were at Gate 8 and there were plenty of seats, so we sat down. I popped up from my seat every ten minutes to check the monitor, but we got no direction. Finally it was about twenty minutes before we could board and I was getting worried. We don't move as fast as we used to and I hoped we did not have to trek to the other side of the airport!
I got up to check the monitor one more time. This time the proper gate was listed : Gate 8! I was thrilled. I whispered a quick "Thank you" to God.
God is so faithful! He even directs us to the right gate at the airport when we have no idea which way to go!
Dear Lord, Thank you for Your direction, both in the big decisions and the small decisions in my life.
